1. Services
Iron Bay Music Studio ("we," "us," or "our") provides professional audio mixing and mastering services to independent artists and music creators. Our services include:
- Stereo mixing of recorded audio tracks
- Full production mixing
- Digital audio mastering
- Mix and master bundle packages
- Consultation and project review
The specific scope of work, deliverables, and pricing will be confirmed in writing (via email) before any project begins.
2. Project Agreement & Payment
All projects begin with a free consultation to align on scope, timeline, and pricing. A project is considered confirmed once pricing has been agreed upon in writing and any required deposit has been received.
- Pricing is quoted on a per-project basis and confirmed before work begins
- We reserve the right to require a deposit before beginning work
- Final deliverables will be released upon receipt of full payment
- Accepted payment methods will be communicated at time of booking
3. File Submission & Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing properly prepared files and sufficient information for us to complete your project. This includes:
- Providing high-quality source files in agreed-upon formats (WAV, AIFF, etc.)
- Ensuring you own or have licensed all audio content submitted
- Providing reference tracks, creative direction, and any technical requirements
- Responding to feedback requests and revision rounds in a timely manner
We are not responsible for delays or quality issues arising from poorly prepared files, unclear direction, or unresponsive communication.
4. Revisions & Delivery
Each project includes a standard number of revision rounds as agreed upon during consultation. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.
Deliverables will be provided in the formats specified at the time of booking (typically high-resolution WAV and/or MP3 files). Delivery is via file transfer link (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar).
Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. We will communicate proactively if delays arise.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all musical content, compositions, and recordings you submit to us. By submitting files, you represent and warrant that you have the right to do so and to authorize us to process the audio for the purposes described.
We retain no rights to your music. We may request permission to reference completed work (e.g., listing your project in our portfolio), but will not do so without your explicit consent.
We retain ownership of our mixing and mastering techniques, methods, and processes, which are not transferred with the delivery of your project files.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all submitted audio, project details, and client information as confidential. We will not share, sell, or distribute your unreleased music or project details to third parties without your written consent.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If you need to cancel a project, please notify us as soon as possible. Our cancellation and refund policy:
- Cancellation before work begins: full refund of any deposit
- Cancellation after work has begun: deposit is non-refundable; any remaining balance is waived
- Completed deliverables accepted by the client are non-refundable
If you are unsatisfied with deliverables, please communicate your concerns before cancelling — we are committed to working with you to achieve a result you're happy with.
8. Limitation of Liability
Iron Bay Music Studio's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question. We are not responsible for:
- Loss of data or files you have submitted (always retain your own backups)
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind
- Delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control
- Third-party streaming platform requirements or rejection of delivered masters
We strongly recommend retaining your own copies of all original source files.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at ironbaymusic.com/terms.html. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
